Cattery History
We bought our first two Siberian kittens in 2014 from Siberia itself. Then in 2016, we bought one more because we loved the breed very much and decided to take it more professionally. Now we have our very own Champion blood line. In 2021, I decided to leave my job as a nurse to fully dedicate myself to the cattery. This decision was driven by my passion for these magnificent cats and my desire to provide them with the best care possible.
Since then, Diamond Dream Siberian Cattery has flourished. We have expanded our facilities to accommodate more kittens and ensure they have ample space to play and grow. Our commitment to a cage-free environment has remained steadfast, as we believe it is essential for the well-being and happiness of our cats.
We have also built strong relationships with other breeders and participated in various cat shows, where our Siberians have earned numerous accolades. These achievements have further solidified our reputation as a premier cattery dedicated to breeding excellence.
Breeding Practices
At Diamond Dream Siberian Cattery, we are committed to ethical and responsible breeding practices. Our goal is to ensure the health, well-being, and genetic diversity of our Siberian cats. Here are some key aspects of our breeding practices:
We conduct thorough health screenings for all our breeding cats to ensure they are free from genetic disorders and diseases. This includes regular veterinary check-ups, vaccinations, and genetic testing. We work closely with veterinarians to monitor the health of our cats and provide them with the best possible care. They have been screened and tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and DNA swab tested negative for other genetic diseases.
We carefully select our breeding pairs based on their health, temperament, and physical characteristics. This helps us maintain the high standards of the Siberian breed and produce kittens with excellent qualities. Our goal is to enhance the breed while preserving its unique traits and characteristics.
Our cats come from a champion blood line, which means they have a lineage of ancestors who have won championships and titles in various competitions. This ensures that our kittens inherit the best traits of the breed, including their stunning appearance and affectionate nature.
Our kittens are raised in a loving and nurturing environment, where they have the freedom to explore and interact with their surroundings. We believe that a cage-free environment is essential for their well-being and happiness. Our home is designed to provide a safe and stimulating space for our cats to thrive.
We prioritize the socialization of our kittens from an early age. They are exposed to various stimuli, including different people, animals, and environments, to ensure they grow into well-adjusted and confident cats. This early socialization helps our kittens adapt easily to their new homes and families.
We adhere to the highest ethical standards in our breeding practices. This includes providing proper care and attention to our cats, ensuring they have a healthy and happy life, and never engaging in practices that could harm their well-being. We are committed to transparency and integrity in all aspects of our cattery.
We prioritize genetic diversity in our breeding program to ensure the long-term health and vitality of the Siberian breed. By carefully selecting breeding pairs with diverse genetic backgrounds, we aim to reduce the risk of inherited health issues and promote a robust and resilient gene pool.
All our kittens are litter trained from an early age. We ensure they are comfortable using the litter box and maintain good hygiene habits. This training helps them transition smoothly to their new homes and makes them easy to care for.

Due to the high volume of phone calls, we have decided to limit our contact to text-based communication. Not only is it more convenient, but it also allows us to maintain a clear record of our conversations and give better answers. In the case you are choosing a kitten we allow a video call 15 minutes in length.
Siberian cats are celebrated for their hypoallergenic qualities, making them a great option for individuals with cat allergies. Unlike many other breeds, Siberians produce lower levels of Fel d 1, the primary allergen found in cat saliva and skin secretions. This glycoprotein is predominantly produced in the sebaceous glands and is also secreted through a cat's saliva and skin. As cats groom themselves, Fel d 1 is transferred to their fur, where it can remain airborne for extended periods and settle on surfaces. Because Siberians generate less of this allergen, individuals who typically react to cats may experience fewer or milder allergic symptoms. However, it's important to recognize that no breed is entirely hypoallergenic, and responses can vary from person to person. We always recommend spending time with a Siberian cat before adoption to ensure compatibility.
The visit costs $75, which covers either an allergy testing visit or the opportunity to choose your kittens. During the allergy testing visit, you can spend time with our Siberian cats to see if you have any allergic reactions, ensuring compatibility before adoption. If you prefer to choose your kittens, the visit allows you to interact with them and select the ones that best fit your family and lifestyle. The visit is 30 minutes in length so that the kittens don't stress out. Please note that during the visit, you are not allowed to take photos, videos, or make video calls. And under no circumstances may you put your finger in the kittens' mouths.
The average costs for a kitten is $200-2850. The prices are based on individual kitten quality such as color/marking (white socks, rare eye colors like heterochromia, etc.), size, and conformation to the breed standard. The deposit is $400 and it's non-refundable. Please keep in mind that we are often talking to multiple people at once about the same kitten. No kitten is considered reserved until a deposit has been received.
Yes, absolutely. The breeder reserves the right to decline an adoption if they believe it is not in the best interest of the kitten or if the potential adopter does not meet the necessary criteria for providing a suitable home. This decision is made to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the kittens. The breeder may also decline an adoption if there are concerns about the adopter's ability to care for the kitten, or if there are any red flags during the screening process such as rushing us, lying, not answering our questions, and not being serious. Our priority is to place our kittens in loving, responsible homes where they will thrive and be well cared for.
Yes. We offer a $200 discount if you adopt two kittens at the same time. And we offer a $100 discount if you instead decide to adopt a second kitten later. Because having siblings/friends can help the kittens adjust more easily to their new environment. It enhances their socialization, well-being, and life expectancy by allowing them to play and interact, making the transition smoother for both the kittens to their new family. We love to see our kittens grow up in the same home together!
Breed History
The Siberian cat is an ancient, breathtaking, and magnificent breed that originated in Siberia. The Siberian is the national cat of Russia, where they have been cherished for thousands of years. The breed received its name not only from its place of distribution but also due to its size, compared to the greatness of Siberia.
Physical Traits
The Siberian cat is a fabulous forest breed. They have a rich triple coat to protect against the cold, making them unique from other long-haired cats. In the summer, they shed their fur to keep cool, and in the winter, they grow back their fur (proper diet can help).
The weight of a male cat can reach 8-10 kg (17.5-22 lbs), while female cats weigh on average 5-6 kg (11-13 lbs). According to the standard, the body weight should not be less than 3.5 kg (7.5 lbs). On average, the life expectancy of a Siberian cat is 11-18+ years.
Personality and Behavior
Siberian cats are smart, athletic, and enjoy playing with you, your kids, and other family members. The Siberian breed loves to climb, explore, and play. Siberians are the most inquisitive, intelligent, and healthy cats. They are very attentive cats with amazing loyalty and a warm personality. Siberian cats have a strong hunting instinct.
Comparison to Other Breeds
Persian Cats: Persian cats often suffer from respiratory issues due to their flat faces. They require frequent grooming to maintain their long coats. In contrast, Siberians have a more manageable grooming routine and are less prone to respiratory problems.
Siamese Cats: Siamese cats are known for their vocal nature and can be very demanding. Siberians, on the other hand, have a balanced temperament, combining playfulness with calmness, making them easier to live with.
Maine Coons: Maine Coons are large and friendly but prone to health issues like hip dysplasia due to their size. Siberians are more agile and less prone to such problems, making them a healthier choice.
Bengal Cats: Bengals are energetic and require a lot of stimulation, which may not suit every household. Siberians are adaptable and fit well into various living environments, from busy families to quieter homes.
Ragdolls: Ragdolls require frequent grooming to prevent matting. Siberians have a unique fur texture that resists matting and tangling, making their grooming routine more manageable.
British Shorthairs: British Shorthairs are known for their calm demeanor but can be prone to obesity. Siberians maintain a healthy weight due to their active nature and playful behavior.
Sphynx Cats: Sphynx cats, while hypoallergenic, require regular bathing to remove oils from their skin. Siberians are naturally clean and require less maintenance, making them a more convenient choice for busy owners.
